First Day
The team worshiped at Glen Rock Baptist Church this morning. The church has 60 members and we felt the love of hundreds.
They all decided to take a nap, before we went to the block party.
Putting up the bouncy houses, grill for hot dogs, snow cone machine, and the popcorn machine for the block party for the apartments in Fort Mill, SC. We invited about 40 kids to go to VBS tomorrow, lets hope they show!
We have devotionals nightly and talk about our day as a team. We discussed how we saw God at work today. Families from the apartments came and shared a evening of fun and good fellowship. Each of us shared his/hers experiences.

WE'RE HERE!!!
We left Lebanon at 3:07 pm. Chad discovered that the speedometer on the church van is 4 miles per hour slower than displayed. He found this to be true after riding behind Greg at 61 miles per hour in a 65 all the way to Fort Mill!!
We arrived safely in Fort Mill at Glenrock Baptist Church around 8 pm. Pastor Gene Flack and 2 other members were excited to see us upon our arrival. We are the first mission team to stay at in their church building and they are really glad the Lord led us to come.
During tonight’s devotion time, several people shared how
excited they were to be on this trip and expressed a desire to see the Lord Jesus
save people. We learned from Luke 9 and Matthew 10 that Jesus is calling us to
radically follow Him, but Jesus doesn’t always lead us to “safe places.” Jesus
says “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves…” This isn’t
exactly safe, yet to follow Jesus on mission into dangerous places displays that
we love Him more than our own lives. The men are
in sleeping in the fellowship hall and women are in the youth room all nighty
night on their air mattresses.
Tomorrow we will be up by 8 and will worship with our
brothers and sisters here at the Glenrock. Around 4 pm we will help set up a block
party at an apartment complex in town. The apartment complex will be lower income and
at least 60 % African American with other nationalities present. Pray for the
gospel to go forth in power!
PRAY
-For continued team love and unity in Christ
-For protection
-For tomorrows worship service
-For Jesus to grow us into His likeness
